Safety, responsibility and a calm approach.
My name is Christian Klinger and I founded AscendNorth Training to give people a safe way into the world of shooting. With my many years of experience as a duty firearm carrier, my training in tactics and operational techniques and my firearms training, I know what matters most: safety, responsibility and solid technique.
- calm, clear guidance – even if you have never fired a shot before
- full focus on your safety and your learning progress
- honest, transparent feedback without pressure
- training in an environment where questions are always welcome
Not at all. My trainings are specifically designed for people with little or no firearms experience. We start with the basics and build up step by step.
If you do not yet own a firearm, I provide the pistol and the necessary safety equipment. If you already have your own pistol, we can of course train with your firearm instead.
Safety always comes first. All training is conducted under clear safety rules and every step is supervised directly. If at any point I feel that something is unsafe, we stop, talk about it and adjust.
All trainings take place exclusively at officially approved shooting ranges.
When accompanied by a legal guardian, an introduction to shooting sports is possible from the age of 12. The minimum age for training without a legal guardian present is 16 years.
If you do not yet own your own firearm, we will typically train with a Glock 17, as in my opinion it is an excellent choice for entering the world of sport shooting and/or self-defence. It is very safe, extremely reliable and easy to operate. We can also work with a SIG P365XL or a Heckler & Koch USP 45 if suitable for your goals and experience.
Note: All firearms trainings are conducted strictly within the applicable legal framework and the rules of the respective shooting range. Participation is at your own responsibility and requires physical and mental fitness. No firearms or ammunition are sold.
